Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), one of India’s largest commercial enterprises and a Fortune Global 500 company, invites applications from eligible and enthusiastic candidates for Apprenticeship Training at the Guwahati Refinery Unit.
This initiative is part of IOCL’s commitment to strengthen the nation’s skill development ecosystem under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 (as amended).

Applications are invited for apprenticeship positions in multiple disciplines, including:

Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) – B.Sc. (PCM/Industrial Chemistry)

Fitter – ITI (Fitter)

Boiler Apprentice – B.Sc. (PCM/Industrial Chemistry)
-
Technician Apprentice (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation) – 3-year Engineering Diploma

Secretarial Assistant – B.A./B.Sc./B.Com
-
Accountant – B.Com
-
Data Entry Operator – Class XII (Fresher / Skill Certificate Holders)
📌 Number of seats are discipline-wise and include reservations as per Government of India norms.
Eligibility Criteria of IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2025
Educational Qualification
-
Candidates must have completed the required qualification as a regular full-time course from a recognized Board/University/Institute.
-
Minimum 50% marks for General/EWS/OBC and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD (only for reserved seats).
-
Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible.
-
Higher professional qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA, etc., are not permitted.
Age Limit
-
18 to 24 years as on 30 November 2025.

Age relaxations applicable for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates as per Government guidelines.
Selection Process IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2025
-
No written test will be conducted.
-
Selection will be based purely on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination.
-
In case of a tie, the candidate older in age will be given preference.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for Document Verification, followed by a Medical Fitness Test in accordance with IOCL guidelines.

Stipend & Training Conditions

Stipend will be paid as per the Apprentices Act and IOCL rules.

PPE such as safety shoes and helmet will be provided for technical trades.

No company accommodation or HRA will be provided.

Apprentices will be entitled to leave & holidays as per applicable rules.
-
Completion of training does not guarantee employment with IOCL.

Candidates must complete both steps:
Step 1 – Register on NAPS/NATS

Trades 101/102/103/108/109/110/111 → Register on NAPS
-
Trades 104/105/106/107 → Register on NATS
After registration, apply to the IOCL Guwahati Refinery opportunities listed under the correct Establishment ID.
Step 2 – Apply on IOCL Apprentices Portal
Visit www.iocrefrecruit.in, fill out the online application form, upload documents, and submit.
