1. Managing Director (MD)

| Job Purpose | To ensure realisation of the vision and mission of the Assam Innovation and Startup Foundation (AISF) |
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead formulation and execution of AISF strategy and annual plan; meet Board-approved objectives and performance parameters.
- Preparation of annual budget and submission of utilization statements to the Board.
- Build a high performing team under his/her leadership to ensure smooth functioning of the objectives of the company.
- Maintain a proactive HR policy and performance appraisal matrix.
- Serve as principal spokesperson with government, investors, media, and domestic and international partners.
- Lead organizational culture-building with an emphasis on speed, innovation, data-driven decision-making and accountability.
Educational Qualification
- Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or related disciplines from a reputed institution
Desired Profile/Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in corporate operations, program delivery, or enterprise growth management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role heading a division/profit center/organization.
- Strong experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, building systems from scratch and leading institutional scale-up.
- Must be a visionary with in-depth knowledge of the Indian and global startup ecosystems, striving to make the organization self-sustainable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationship with funding agencies, venture capitalists, angel and other investors as potential source of funds for start-ups.
- Candidates with a strong bias for execution, startup ecosystem familiarity and a passion for innovation-driven development will be preferred.
Abilities
- Strong stakeholder management, governance, performance systems, execution bias
- Age Limit: 35 to 50 years
- Willingness to travel across Assam and outside for stakeholder coordination
Compensation Range
Fixed CTC of ₹30 lakhs - ₹40 lakhs depending on skills and experience.
2. Senior Manager – Program Delivery

Job Purpose
The Senior Manager – Program Delivery will be responsible for the end-to-end conceptualization, design, and execution of startup support programs including incubation, acceleration, innovation challenges and impact across interventions. The role demands a high degree of operational leadership, ecosystem coordination and founder empathy to drive measurable impact across startup lifecycle stages.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and implement structured startup support programs (incubation, acceleration, market access)
- Create SOPs and toolkits for each program stage aligned with national and global best practices
- Work with domain experts, mentors, investors and support institutions to co-create value for startups
- Build and manage evaluation frameworks for shortlisting, onboarding and performance tracking
- Institutionalize feedback loops and review mechanisms to continuously improve program quality
- Onboard and manage mentor networks, knowledge partners and subject-matter experts
- Prepare program outcome reports, pitch decks and MIS updates for the Board and partners
Educational Qualification
- Postgraduate degree in Business Administration or equivalent from a reputed institution is preferred
Desired Profile
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in incubation, acceleration, startup program management, or corporate innovation
- Experience in designing and scaling structured innovation programs within high-growth ecosystems
- Familiarity with leading national/international startup support models (e.g., Startup India, State Startup Missions, Corporate Programs, Y Combinator, etc.)
Abilities
- Strong understanding of startup lifecycle, founder challenges and program logic models
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple program cohorts simultaneously
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, G-Suite and program management tools

3. Senior Manager – Student and MSME Incubation

Job Purpose
The Senior Manager – Student Incubation will spearhead AISF’s academic outreach and student innovation initiatives, with the mandate to embed entrepreneurial thinking across universities and colleges in Assam. The role focuses on developing a sustained pipeline of youth-led startups by institutionalizing pre-incubation ecosystems and fostering innovation-driven student communities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop partnerships and MoUs with universities, engineering and management colleges across Assam
- Design and implement student-centric startup support programs aligned with academic calendars
- Establish, monitor and support pre-incubation centres across 35 districts
- Organise and lead bootcamps, idea competitions, innovation challenges and demo days
- Create a statewide pipeline of youth-led startup ventures through outreach, mentoring and competitions
- Build a repository of digital learning resources, innovation toolkits and activity templates for institutions
Educational Qualification
- Postgraduate degree in Management, Education, Social Management, Entrepreneurship or a relevant field
Desired Profile
- 8–12 years of experience in academic entrepreneurship, CSR in education, innovation program delivery, or startup incubation and or Social Impact
- Experience working with higher education institutions, university systems or student innovation platforms
- Expertise in designing and executing large-scale student engagement events and outreach campaigns
Abilities
- Strong understanding of grassroots innovation, student psychology and higher education ecosystem
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across education, government, and private sectors
- Skilled in organizing large-scale student engagement events and outreach campaigns

4. Senior Manager – Investments

Job Purpose
The Senior Manager – Investments will lead all investment-related functions at AISF, including deal origination, analysis, execution, portfolio management, reporting, and ecosystem engagement.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage AISF’s suite of startup funding instruments (grants, equity, hybrid/innovation financing)
- Lead structuring of investment frameworks, conduct comprehensive due diligence, and oversee ongoing portfolio monitoring and performance evaluation
- Ensure robust risk management and the smooth execution of exits
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including investors, incubators, legal/compliance professionals, and government partners
Portfolio Management
- Build and actively manage AISF’s portfolio of funded startups, tracking fund utilization and performance
- Develop reporting systems to monitor and enhance investee company growth and compliance with funding terms
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or Business Management
MBA (Finance) from top tier B-School / CA / CFA
Desired Profile
- 7–10 years in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, fund management, or corporate finance
- Experience in evaluating, structuring, and managing investments in startups or scale-up ecosystems preferred
- Demonstrated track record in fund structuring, financial modeling, portfolio management, and stakeholder relationship management
Abilities
- Deep understanding of the startup and investor ecosystem
- Strong grasp of accounting, corporate finance, tax, and financial statement analysis
- Proven ability to conduct rigorous market, sector, and company research
- Advanced skills in MS Excel (financial modeling), PowerPoint, Word, Google Suite, and modern productivity tools
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation abilities (both written and verbal)

5. Senior Manager – Partnerships (Ecosystem Outreach)

Job Purpose
The Senior Manager – Partnerships will be responsible for forging and managing high-impact partnerships that amplify AISF’s reach, funding base, and programmatic value. This includes engagement with VC networks, Angel Network, Venture Builders, corporates, CSR donors, academic institutions, global incubators, and ecosystem players to co-create innovation programs and strategic collaborations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and formalize strategic partnerships with corporations, academic institutions, foundations, and ecosystem enablers including VC Firms and Angel Investors
- Mobilize CSR and philanthropic funding in alignment with AISF’s innovation and entrepreneurship objectives
- Represent AISF at key ecosystem events, delegations, investor summits, and partnership forums
- Develop customized partnership proposals, MoU documents, and performance dashboards for donor reporting
- Maintain an updated partner CRM and track engagement milestones and renewal cycles
Educational Qualification
- Postgraduate degree in Public Policy, Business, Communications, Strategic Management, CSR, or related field
Desired Profile
- 8–12 years of experience in partnership development, CSR fundraising, ecosystem building, or institutional collaborations
- Experience working with incubators, startups, NGOs, CSR units, or innovation networks
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute co-branded innovation programs
Abilities
- Strategic thinking and relationship-building skills
- Strong presentation, proposal writing, and documentation abilities
- Comfortable representing the organization across high-stakes forums and discussions
- Ability to coordinate complex partner deliverables and cross-functional teams
- Skilled in CRM tools, partner databases, and communications platforms

6. Senior Executive – Accounts and MIS

Job Purpose
Senior Executive Accounts and MIS will support all aspects of AISF’s end-to-end accounting responsibilities, preparation of financial statements, compliance with statutory regulations, and development of accurate MIS (Management Information System) reports.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records (journal entries, ledgers, BRS etc.)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.)
- Co-ordination with auditors for internal and external audits
- Design and generate periodic MIS reports for management (P&L, cash flow, variance analysis)
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with timely data
- Liaise with other departments (e.g., operations, procurement) for financial data
- Support management with ad-hoc analysis and business insights whenever required
Educational Qualification
- CA/ICWA / M.Com/B.Com /MBA(Finance) with strong foundation in accounting and financial management
