The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), an Autonomous Organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released the official notification for Direct Recruitment Quota Examination 2026 (DRQ2026) for multiple job positions under Group A, B, and C categories.
Selections will be conducted through All India Competitive Examination mode, and postings will be offered at any CBSE office across India.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates applying for any post must possess required educational qualification and experience from recognized institutions.
  • All qualification results must be declared on or before 22.12.2025.
  • Age limit also considered as of 22 December 2025.


Educational Qualification

1. Assistant Secretary - The candidates must Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University/ Institution.

2. Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Academics/ Training/ Skill Education) - The candidates must Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized University/ Institute with provision of applicable concession to the respective categories*.

Desirable: 
 i. B.Ed./M.Ed or equivalent from a recognized University/ Institute. 
 ii. NET/SLET 
 iii. NET-JRF 
 iv. Doctorate Degree from a recognized University/ Institute. 

3. Accounts Officer - The candidates should be Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University/ Institution with Economics/ Commerce/ Accounts/ Finance/ Business Studies/ Cost Accounting as one of the subject.
OR
Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University/Institution and having SAS/JAO(C) examination conducted by any Account/Audit Services/Department of the Central/State Govt.
OR
Post Graduate of a recognized University/Institution with Economics/ Commerce / Accounts/ Finance/ Business Studies/ Cost Accounting as one of the subject. 
OR
M.B.A. (Finance)/Chartered Accountant/ICWA.

Desirable: 
 i. Experience in the field of Accounts compilation, Budget, Internal Audit, and Commercial Accounting. 
 ii. Experience in the field of investments/fund management/ securities.  

4. Superintendent - The candidates should be Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. Working knowledge of Computer/Computer Applications such as Windows, MS-Office, handling of large database, Internet.

5. Junior Translation Officer - The candidates should be Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree Level.
OR
Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree Level.
OR
Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree Level.
OR
Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree Level. 
OR
Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subject or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at Degree Level. 
OR
Recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa or three years’ experience in of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in a Central or State Government Office, including Government of India undertaking. 

6. Junior Accountant - The candidates should be Essential: 12th Class from a recognized Board/ University/ Institution with Accountancy/ Business Studies/ Economics/ Commerce/ Entrepreneurship/ Finance/ Business Administration/ Taxation/ Cost Accounting as one of the subject. A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer. 

7. Junior Assistant  - The candidates should be 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.  A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/ 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).

2. Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Academics/ Training/ Skill Education) - 30 years
3. Accounts Officer - 35 years
4. Superintendent - 30 years
5. Junior Translation Officer - 30 years
6. Junior Accountant - 27 years
7. Junior Assistant - 27 years

Posting & Transfer Policy

Selected candidates may be posted to any CBSE office in India and shall remain transferable.

  • Selection will be entirely based on the information and documents submitted by the candidate.
  • Board may verify eligibility at any stage of recruitment.
  • Qualifying any test does NOT guarantee final appointment unless complete eligibility is verified successfully.

Candidates must produce self-attested copies of:

  • Age proof
  • Educational certificates
  • Experience details & pay proofs
  • EWS/SC/ST/OBC/PwBD certificate (if applicable)
  • Non-Creamy Layer proof, where required
  • Printed copy of application form
